Backing up your Computer with Vista

 

1.     Click on “START”

2.     Select “CONTROL PANEL”

3.     Select “SYSTEM & MAINTENANCE”

4.     If it does not show the Backup, click on “SHOW ALL 14 ITEMS”

5.     At the upper right side of the screen, click on “BACKUP”

6.     Select the “CHANGE SETTINGS”

7.     Select where you want to save your backup, preferably and external hard drive, then click on “NEXT”

8.     Select which drive you want to backup, then click on “NEXT”

9.     Now select which types of files you want backed up, click “NEXT”

10.                        Select how often, on which day and at what time to make the backup, “SAVE SETTINGS AND EXIT”

11.                        Select “AUTOMATIC BACKUP ON” at the bottom of the screen

 

Now you are set to have you computer automatically backed-up!
